Hi There

Welcome to my blog and website! I am thrilled to share my story and passion for cycling with you.

My name is Aubrey, founder and content writer here at All Things Biking.  Please do join me as I share my story filled with all things biking which is essentially the heart and passion for cycling with a different twist. Others bike because they love it and others bike because they have to commute while others just like me bike for both reasons and the total fulfilment that comes with the joy of riding.

Whether I am commuting or just chasing down my PR, for me it’s the exhilarating rush of racing down the streets on my road bike or taking it easy and exploring the untamed rough terrains with my trusty fat bike,

I dedicate this website and blog to celebrating the diverse facets of the cycling world and ultimately the culture we all cyclists love and respect. Join me as we dive into the invigorating world of cycling.

My STORY

My journey started from humble beginnings in South Africa and it is still an open book. Growing up in challenging circumstances, I never had the opportunity to own a bicycle. However, my love for cycling persisted, leading me to explore the world of cycling through borrowed rides and shared experiences with friends.

My Mother could never afford to buy me a bike on a teachers salary. But To be honest, I was convinced growing up that my mother never liked anything with two wheels that could travel more than 10km/h 😂. Now, at the age of 35, my passion for cycling has only grown stronger. It has become more than just a hobby; it is a passion that I enjoy exploring.

Through my blog, I aim to contribute to this beautiful community and culture of cycling by providing valuable insights, raising awareness, and sharing practical tips and advice.

I have learned to be consistent in doing what I love!

I will be aiming to:

  1. Promote Safety: One of the crucial aspects I emphasize is safety on the road. Drawing from my own experiences and learning, I offer guidance on how to stay safe while cycling. From essential gear and road etiquette to defensive riding techniques, I aim to equip fellow cyclists with the knowledge to enjoy their journeys securely.
  2. Promote Health and Fitness Tips: Cycling is not only a means of transportation or a recreational activity but also an excellent way to maintain physical fitness. I will share valuable information on how to optimize your cycling routines, stay fit, and improve your overall well-being. From nutrition tips to training plans, I want to empower you to achieve your fitness goals through cycling.
  3. Explore the Biking World: As an enthusiast, I am dedicated to exploring the vast world of cycling. Through engaging articles, reviews, and guides, I will showcase different types of bikes, cycling events, scenic routes (SWEDEN) and adventures. I aim to inspire and motivate both beginners and seasoned riders to embark on their own cycling journeys.
  4. Encourage Community Engagement: I believe in the strength of community and the power of shared experiences. My blog will serve as a platform for fellow cyclists to connect, share stories, and exchange valuable insights. Together, we can foster a supportive and inclusive community that celebrates the joy of cycling.

My objective

Thank you for joining me on this exciting cycling adventure. My vision for this blog and website is not only to serve as a source of information but also to inspire you to embrace the joy and freedom that cycling brings. Together, let’s explore, learn, and make a positive impact on the cycling community.
